Detecting whether an IP address is using a proxy or VPN is essential for security, fraud prevention, and account protection. The test proxy and VPN usage by IP usage is checking the IP against specialized databases known as IP reputation or IP intelligence services. These tools analyze millions of IPs and flag those associated with public VPNs, data centers, or known proxy servers.
