The 17th edition of Asia Cup 2025 Schedule is scheduled to be held in UAE from September 9 to 28 and will feature eight teams competing through a group stage and Super Four. The competition will also offer a preview of the 2026 T20 World Cup and could see India and Pakistan clash up to three times, including the final.
The tournament will feature the five full members of the Asian Cricket Council – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan – as well as Hong Kong, Oman, and UAE who qualified through the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup. A new team, Nepal, is also set to make its debut at the event.
All the matches in the competition will be played in the T20 format. Each team will play the other teams in their group twice. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage. The top two from the Super Four will then face off in the final.

Several questions remain around India’s preparation for the event, especially whether captain Rohit Sharma will be fit enough to take part in the tournament. The skipper has been recovering from hernia surgery and is expected to miss the opening fixture against Pakistan. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is also uncertain to play as he remains to be deemed match-fit by the BCCI.
